neat

Quite innovative and fun, but some of the puzzles were beyond solvable by some people (like me).

1)Ok, so the password's P33P3R. There aren't any letters on the keypad. Assuming the user knows 1337, then that's... uhh.. 933932? What kind of 1337-geek do you have to be to figure out how to enter the real code? May as well have written it in Spanish.

2)I don't understand how to get a code from the television. I assumed it was the channel numbers that the robot walks on (in order), or the camera numbers, but neither worked.

3) The final challenge makes no sense. Am I supposed to wander around arbitrarily until the secret sequence of colours opens the door in a week?

Basically, the game's awesome in lots of ways (I even had my doupts at first) but some puzzles were more than "difficult" - they were impossible, depending on who's playing. (The TV was awesome looking too, and both the TV and telescope were great concepts which made the thing more real)

Neat

If you could point me in the direction of where you figured out how to make Flash truly multi-user, I will give you a cookie.

*I will not actually give you a cookie.

I can't believe...

I can't believe that in a game so simple yet addictive you didn't bother to:

1)Make the background move in a loop, or move at all. That would have made it seem more hectic too. You could even have used a mask to keep the "outer" background clouds stationary.

2)Let the user select starting level. It takes forever for it to start becoming a challenge, and I just don't have the patience to do the first part all over again.

So... Umm.. Do that.

Ophyr responds:

Yeah, the scrolling background is something I should have done... The reason I didn't add the choice for a starting level is because the game can be beaten :) It would be easy to select level 10, play a few minutes and beat the game :D

Thanks for the review!

intro was too long

An average, fairly small "tutorial", which from what I saw in the actionscript section, involves more copy-and-paste then learning...

I'd rather go to an actual "web site" to "learn", hopefully one with full text and descriptions - and more, period.

Maybe I'm just tired of flash tutorials presented in flash that don't really teach a whole lot (which is most of them) and really serve no purpose. There are also WAY too many of them.

Derc-Tora responds:

I dont like you!
Did you even look at the Drawing Part of the TUT? >:/

.

At first I was wondering why a game called "REAKTOR" was in the weekly top 20... but now I'm hopelessly addicted. Good work.

I don't know what to say

Because the gameplay itself was faily simple, and rather unoriginal - but the non-flash made graphics were nice looking. I can't even make good flash graphics. So.. Erm... 6/10 for good good graphics and working, yet not all that fun or original, game.

Erm

Not to insult the technical prowess of the game ofcourse, but...

The original game that this was based off of was not fun either.

The game itself: meh. BUT:

Right click and press "play" during the game. It's funny.

Style is 1 because it's a MJ game...

Fun.

No glitches - the tank and enemies and explosions were fine. Only 2 things:

>The land itself looked kind of fake and simple.
>The "you loose" animation was really bad.

Nice engine - fun too. Make this into a full game and it will rock.

hmm

I don't know what it is that irks me about mausland...
It's like you're constantly submitting simple games with really elaborate menu screens and music and so forth... It's just... I don't... ARGH!

Wiesi responds:

mausland loves you

I am classified as a human people person man.
