Personally...

Personally, I would have smiled after the first spike. And it would have been a real smile too, because I'd be thinking "Oh, I get how this works. I'm totally going to kill you all later." *grin grin*

Nice style. I didn't even notice the absence of colour or strangely cubical people until near the end.

(Also, yes, again insulting the disco ending. If you're trying to show how they just get on with their happy dumb lives, maybe something else - or without the music - would have been better. It just didn't end with the same impact it started with)

cool monkey

Good:

Obviously the art and FBF animation.

Only problems:

It's not actually full length.
There's no plot, and nothing happens. Just some random (well drawn) images.
Also, no real sound (except backdrop music).
No backgrounds or colours really.

To sum up: I enjoyed it, but without anything actually happening it seems like a waste of talent. Very good for what it is.

Why do I know what Coleoptera Biblioplile means?

I was first thinking "Book loving beatle? Huh?" followed by "wtf is going, if you're trying to be weird then that's all you've accompllished" but then Glarg was born. So now I'm voting 5/5. It was both apt and funny, and the newspaper messages and other messages were just right to the point without being offensive to anyone. The symbols used in Glarg's campaign were also perfect. Great work.

I don't know if this is an isnult or a complimet,

...but near the end I was reminded of Keanu Reaves in - well - any movie he's ever been in (main character voice and style).

There are only 2 and honestly no more problems I can see with this movie AT ALL. Firstly, it starts off way to fast. That beginning part, although looking really cool, was the type of overly dramatic thing I'd imagine seeing after a "peace ful" introduction to characters and setting, maybe even a short one. Starting off with action is less dramatic when I don't even know what's going on (apart from the textual intro). Also - obviously - theyre sticks. This isn't even THAT much of a problem, as unless you're really good at drawing real people in a REALISTIC manner, then sticks probably leave more to the imagination then less well drawn humans.

Everything else was really good.

Voice: Really good, compared to most flash movies I've seen.

Sound: Very fitting; added to action.

Music: Excellent choices; fit with the scenes perfectly.

Graphics: Some nice use of photoshop and effects, along with the "glowing head things" to tell the character types apart. Technically lacking, but you hid it well.

Graphic effects: Rain, blood, shakey-screen, all the movement effects; very good.

Introduction: Oddy very simple and UN-dramatic, compared to the rest of the movie. It was just simple text that changed sides. Even a simple mask effect with maybe flames/a city/whatever behind it would have increased the visual appeal dramatically.

Title: I just noticed, it's not really original, and thus doesn't stand out from other random stick movies or whatever.

Conclusion: Excellent movie. I wish I could do voices / action scenes that well. You really only have to work on the presentaion .. wait, the presentation DURING the movie was excellent. Ok, work in the "introduction" type presentation - and maybe graphics. Good work.

PS: I only leave absurdly long reviews for very good or very bad movies.

Newgrounds reviewers are often rude ****tards....

...so I will attempt not to be one myself. That being said:

Graphics: Technically "good", if by good I mean well-drawn.... although MOST if not all of it looked like traced images, which even if they were not, still looks not-good.

Animation: Was there any? A bright flash of light between one image and another, along with some minor motion tweens for planes was all I saw.

Plot: Not applicaple, seeing as there was none. American cities got nuked, as far as I could tell.

Other: Dirt, smog, dust, or the general results of a nuke going off in a city were not there... very clean distruction it seems.

The message: I'm pretty sure it was "we're all doomed", although it might have been "we're all doomed because of America", or maybe "America is doomed", but it's not really clear.

Conclusion: I felt like I was watching a slide-show of stock photography of cities, with a musical backdrop, and ofcourse no plot to speak of. Humor gets a "1" because of the nonsensical ending + the music.

wha

I was thinking "quite ambitious considering you're obviously rather new to flash / somewhat new / whatever" but then it just ENDED without anyhing happening. I can't even make fun of "that one really bad scene" cus there only was ONE SCENE... and it was a representational one.

Congratulations.

On being insane.

Violence only gets a 2 out of the deserved 8 because he got hit at a really weird angel with that mallet, and then the blood was still on the bottom of it as if he'd been hit at a non-weird angle. Now that just makes no sense, now does it?

on the other hand

Graphics: Good.
A sad snail demonstrating a basic point about reality in a basic way: choked on cheese.

Acceptable graphics, but it seems like a simple social message disguised by a sad snail with a mildly didactic message. Not my thing.

But they only cost 30 cents

Dooooood.... I thought this was gonna be crappy for some reason, but it was certainly not. How the *** long did it take you to make this??? Awesome action, awesome random ... stuff.

I think I'll have some ramen now...

OMG YOU ROCK

I had no idea that was by you - I thought the "hell place" reminded me of the one from the grim reaper show, but not until the end of that hilarity did I realize it was by the same person. You rock.

I had my doubts when I saw a talking condom, as they are not uncommon on this website - but this was a very special condom. I very special one indeed.

Way to make yet another unique, hilarious, and not-dumb movie. :)

I am classified as a human people person man.
